PARAGLIDING & HANDGLIDING
The historic site of the Couraduque (FFVL N°: 65002) offers numerous different types of flight. In the calm air of the morning or early evening, or in the stronger thermals of the afternoon, you can soar along the line of the ridge like the breeze which enters the valley. The flight office at Aucun is situated 5 minutes away by foot from the Gite. The point of departure on the col de Couraduque is 15 minutes away by car. (There are more sites on the internet with details of parascending schools and clubs.)

Ten or so of the mountain lakes, two of which are accesible by car (barrage du Tech and lac d’Estaing), and 3 rivers (the ones that flow through Arrens, Bun and Ouzom) are regularly stocked …attracting the trout fishermen. Fish in the Val d’Azun with sur www.lacsdespyrenees.com… une référence !
CROSS COUNTRY SKING
With its 100 km of prepared tracks between the cols of Soulor and Couraduque, « Espace Nordique du Val d’Azun » is the biggest in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Tracks for dog drawn sleighs, walkers and snow shoers, and a prepared sledging slope are also available at the ski station. Discover the tracks and the services available at the Espace Fond du Val d’Azun.
LIVING WATER
The water is not alive for sports in the Val d’Azun…but at the bottom of the valley at Argelès (10 km). The Pau river has all the facilities for descents which are sometimes calm and sometimes lively !
To navigate the flow in all seasons and in safety, contact the local organisers and descend by Canoe, Kayak, HotDog and Raft. Ecolorado Le Relais d’Isaby
